About the Item
Albert Schickedanz Portrait of a Gentlewoman Hungarian painting in watercolor on cardboard signed vertically in red to the left of the figure of the lady. Albert Schickedanz (Bielsko-Biała 1846- Budapest 1915) was an Austro-Hungarian eclectic style architect and painter. Schickedanz was born in Biala, present-day Poland, Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria, to an ethnic German family. His paintings are exhibited in Paris, France at the Orsay Museum.
The painting is presented within a sumptuous and elaborate shaped frame in pastille decorated with porporin, in good condition, comes from a private collection in Milan.
The work is shipped from Italy, any object that risaòe more than fifty years ago requires a government export license called Belle Arti. Requesting and issuing this document takes 1/2 weeks, additional to the shipping time.
