Very Large Painting “a Van Der Plas”
About the Item
Adrianus Marie van der Plas was borne in 1899 in Rotterdam and died in 1974 in Kerkrade. He was a painter, a sculptor and a graphic artist. “Het Rotterdams Nieuwsblad” wrote in 1969?Van der Plas has decorated the city of Rotterdam as few have done before him “This painting( oil on canvas) was painted for a church in Brugge(Belgium) in 1924. Symbolism in the style of Jan Toorop(1858-1928) There are spots where the paint is missing and the frame is warped.
