Graham Nash Signed Silver Gelatin Photograph Print "Why?", 2003

About the Item

An engaging photographic image by famed British musician and photographer Graham Nash (from the folk-rock supergroups Crosby, Stills & Nash and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young). Nash's love of photography dating back to his youth is well documented. Besides being a renowned artist behind the camera, Nash is also an avid photography collector. He began to collect photography in the early 1970s and by 1976 he had acquired more than a thousand prints. From 1978 through 1984, the Graham Nash Collection toured more than a dozen international museums. in 1990 Nash decided to sell his 2,000 print collection through Sotheby's auction house where it set an auction record for the highest-grossing sale of a single private collection of photography. In 2010 21st Editions published a monograph of Nash's work titled "Love, Graham Nash" which includes facsimiles of his lyrics paired with signed photographs by Graham Nash. This work, a limited Artist Proof, is hand-signed in pencil, titled "Why?" and dated "03" by Nash. Would be a great addition to collectors of his work or contemporary black and white photography or eye-catching stand-alone artwork in about any setting. Frame dimensions: 17.5" high, 20" wide, 1" deep.
