1950 Fabre Line, Mediterranean New York Original Vintage Poster

About the Item

This gorgeous & rare poster for SNCF was designed by the iconic poster and graphic designer Bernard Villemot. Best known for his collaborations with the likes of Bally, Air France and Perrier, he is known as one of the greatest commercial artists of the 20th century. Beautiful design by J. Tonelli created for Fabre Line of Marseilles, France to promote their routes from the Mediterranean and New York, USA. The artwork depicts a ship sailing within a travelling arrow featuring the French and American flags. Founded in 1881, the Fabre Line or Compagnie Francaise de Navigation a Vapeur Cyprien Fabre & Compagnie was a French shipping which operated all around the world. This wonderful lithographic poster is in fantastic condition with vibrant colour.
