1966 Bob Dylan - On Columbia Records Original Vintage Poster

About the Item

Founded in 1889 and continuing strong as ever today, Columbia has long been host to some of the worlds greatest music talent from Johnny Cash to Beyonce. The 1960s marked perhaps the strongest period in the record labels storied history however with the rise of rock n roll & evolutions in technology. The label created this brilliant poster as part of a series celebrating their highest selling and most prominent acts and distributed them to record stores and venues. Perhaps the most successful of the decade was Bob Dylan, who was originally signed to the label as a harmonica player. Dylan released 9 albums on the label through the 60s, including all-time classics such as "Blonde on Blonde" and "The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan" and timeless hit singles like "The Times They Are a-Changin'", "Mr Tambourine Man" and "Like a Rolling Stone". This brilliant sketch image depicts a sunglass adorned Dylan in 1966, at the height of his "going electric" controversy.
