Hawaii Surf Travel Poster

This poster was distributed to travel agents for the promotion of Hawaii as a tourist destination. Here one could surf giant waves with a smile and women could wear a flower in their hair (optional) whilst facing huge rollers! A wonderful artists rendition of life in Hawaii.

Chas Allen was a West Coast illustrator, prolific in the 1950s and 60s "car mad" heyday. He did fantastic work for Chevrolet during this period but was obviously not pigeon holed and did some amazing work for the Hawaiian Tourist Board, this poster being our favorite.
