About the Item
A framed giclee poster promoting an exhibition of works by Minguet at the Royal Palm Beach Club. The artist’s signature is boldly displayed above a window scene in warm tones. Set in a red metal frame and wired and ready to hang.
Alexandre Minguet 1937 - 1996 was born in Beziers, France, and lost speech from the age of 18 months until he was six. This helped delvelop his gifts of observation and creative expression.
At 22, he attended the academies in Montparnasse and the Ecole du Louvre and was taught by impressionist artist Maryse Ducaire. This led to his first exhibition and a period of classical works. He died in Saint Martin, France. His paintings, watercolors and prints are held in numerous private collections in France and Europe.
