Original 1960's Party Travel Coach Poster
About the Item
Original English 1960's coach panel poster promoting party travel and showing a group of revellers heading for the bus.
Coach companies had a captive market before the advent of mass car ownership and these small posters would have been a useful advertising tool. This rare poster would have been displayed in a UK travel agent's office or in a bus or coach serving routes around Britain.
This would have been a generic poster used by many local bus companies overseen by The Tilling Group. The company started in 1847 with coach and horses and went on to become a major operator. The group was nationalised in 1948 and later absorbed into the London Transport Commission.
This vintage poster is in good condition and is linen backed to allow ease of handling and framing. It will be sent rolled in a sturdy tube.
