Original advertisement poster from 1981 for a book on Beuys oil paintings from 1936 to 1965. Signed by Beuys himself.
This poster is an offset print with an artist's signature in the middle right area. It was signed with a blue pen. The picture is framed and under a passe-partout. The frame is from the same period as the poster, so it already shows signs of use. To save shipping costs, the poster can also be delivered without a frame. Please just ask.
About Beuys: The polarizing effect of the works was transferred to the perception of the person. The critics spoke disparagingly of a "charlatan" or "shaman", enthusiastic followers considered him a "Leonardo da Vinci of the present". The wealth of statements that Beuys made public also gave sufficient reason for attributions to his person. For example, he has been called the “Man of Pains in Art” for his reflections on a central motif in art, death.
