Original vintage French national loan poster: Pour la Renaissance economique dans la paix. Emprunt National. Reserve Aux Porteurs d'or et de bons du tresor. (For economic rebirth in peace. National Loan. Reserve to the Gold and Treasury Bearers.) Stunning Art Deco illustration by Jean Carlu (Jean Georges Carlu; 1900-1997) featuring a small figure of a farmer ploughing a field with a bull in front of an Industrial factory dominated by a statue of a warrior wearing a helmet and holding a shield on an outstretched arm against a blue background, the text above and below. Horizontal. Large size. Good condition, restored folds and paper loss on right margins, staining on right margin, backed on linen.
