Original vintage drink poster advertising Cognac Monnet featuring a stunning design by the renowned poster artist Leonetto Cappiello (1875-1942) depicting a lady in a pink dress with grapes in her flowing hair, kissing a smiling sun in the top of her large glass of cognac with the radiating yellow light around it, set on a black background with the bold text below - .. du soleil dans un verre .. Cognac Monnet / sun in a glass. Cognac Monnet was founded in 1838 by Jean-Gabriel Monnet. Printed by Devambez, Paris. Very large size. Acceptable condition, trimmed on margins, uneven left edge, minor creasing, minor staining, backed on linen, linen trimmed to edges.
