Original vintage London & North Eastern Railway train travel advertising poster - Havens and Harbours on the LNER No. 2. Kings Lynn - featuring artwork by the English artist and poster designer Frank Mason (Frank Henry Algernon Mason; 1875-1965) showing boats in a harbour with a ship moored on the river dock by a warehouse building, a man in a rowing boat and people in a tug boat in the foreground with the title and information text - Full information from L.N.E.R. offices and agencies - on the black border below. The historic port of Kings Lynn in Norfolk connects the North Sea and The Wash on the River Great Ouse and has been an important trade link since the 13th century (now run by the ABP Associated British Ports); the railways were built from the mid 19th century. Printed by Vincent, Day and Sons Ltd, London. Good condition, restored tears, small restored paper losses in margins, staining, backed on linen.
