Original vintage army recruitment poster featuring artwork by the Scottish commercial artist Tom Curr (1887-1958) depicting a man in military uniform on a horse in front of soldiers and tanks with flags on the regimental badge above reading Waterloo and Second to None on the banner, the bold title text in red and blue lettering with the information below: Royal Scots Greys "Scotland for ever" - Enlist in the Royal Armoured Corps and join the Royal Scots Greys. Serve with brother Scotsmen in Scotland's only regular armoured regiment, now equipped with heavy tanks. They fought at Alamein, Salerno, and from Normandy to the Baltic coast, with the Desert Rats. Skilled trades are taught and Sports are plentiful. Raised in 1678, you will find them as ever "Second to None". Printed by McLagan & Cummings Ltd., Printers, Edinburgh. c.1930s. Good condition, creasing, small tears, small paper losses, staining, foxing.
