Saturday Night and Sunday Morning

About the Item

Original 1960 British film poster. This film was directed by Karel Reisz. It was an adaptation of the 1958 novel of the same name by Alan Sillitoe. It is part of the kitchen sink realism movement that developed in the UK in the late 1950s and early 1960s. This movement focussed on those that were disillusioned with modern society, and on the domestic lives of working class Britains. This is one of the most sought after posters from the British 'kitchen sink' genre.
