Original US film poster used in cinemas in America when the film was first, released in 1932 This American pre-Hays Code (censorship) film was directed by George Cukor and produced by Pandro S. Berman and David O. Selznick. It stars Constance Bennett and Lowell Sherman. It tells the story of a waitress who aspires to be an actress, whose life changes when she meets a drunken film director. The poster is in excellent condition, with the colors remaining very bright with overall natural ageing. There is some creasing in the top blank area, which does not affect the artwork. The poster is paper-backed and conservation framed with UV plexiglass in a Tulip wood frame with a card mount. The size given is before framing the framed size is 28 x 20 1/4 in. (71.2 x 51.4 cm).
