  • Leonor Fini Signed Framed Beautiful Lithograph Print Deux Femmes, circa 1970s
    By Leonor Fini
    Located in Studio City, CA
A beautiful lithographic print by Argentinian-born Italian surrealist painter, designer, illustrator, and author Leonor Fini titled "Deux Femmes". Leonor Fini was arguably the most ferociously and heroically independent woman artist of the 20th century. Fini herself never accepted the label of "woman artist," and likewise, never considered herself a Surrealist despite her works having been included in nearly every major Surrealism exhibition from 1936 to the present. In the 1930s she lived in Paris, France where she collaborated with, or who were influenced by such prominent 20th-century artists as Jean Cocteau, Man Ray, Leonora Carrington, Salvador Dalí, Joseph Cornell, Dora Maar, Anna Magnani, Albert Camus, Jean Genet...

A very engaging and somewhat scarce work by the Bronx, NY-born controversial American artist Arnold Meches. This piece is one of his from his most recognizable works the chair series that he did in the 1950s/60s and perhaps a bit of a precursor to Andy Warhol's 1967 "Electric Chair" image albeit somewhat less provocative. Signed and dated (1969) in pencil by the artist in the lower right margin. Arnold Mesches...

  • Masami Teraoka Signed Limited Print New Views of Mt. Fuji, Sinking Pleasure Boat
    By Masami Teraoka
    Located in Studio City, CA
A very large and wonderfully detailed screen print by Asian/ Japanese American artist Masami Teraoka titled "New Views of Mt. Fuji: Sinking Pleasure Boat" is based on his original 1976-77 painting by the same name. The print is numbered in pencil at the lower edge (63/75), blind-stamped and dated (1977) at the upper right, sealed by Teraoka with his personal stamps/seals within the image, and likely hand-signed on verso (we have not removed the artwork from the frame but this is most likely the case). The work was printed on Rives BFK paper by Ron McPherson and Julie McPherson, and published by Space Gallery, Los Angeles, CA. Masami Teraoka has had over 70 solo exhibitions and he has twice been honored by the American Academy of Arts and Letters in New York. He has also received two fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts. His works can be found in collections and museums around the world including: The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco; the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco; the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington D. C.; the Honolulu Museum of Art, Hawaii; the Los Angeles County Museum of Art; the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; the National Portrait Gallery, Washington D.
