Fabulous vintage Howard Behrens original large-scale limited-edition hand-signed “Hillside at Fira” fine art serigraph on paper #246 of 250. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. There was a nick in the lower left side of frame that we have filled and touched up. He grew up near Washington, DC and began drawing at age seventeen after he had been confined to bed following a sledding accident. He would go on to earn his master’s degree in painting and sculpture and was later employed by the U.S. Government Printing Office where his father was employed as a printer. He was featured in nearly two hundred shows in the United States and abroad, and his work hangs in some of the most significant art collections in the world. As an official artist for the 2002 Winter Olympics, Behrens’ painting “In Motion” was featured at the Winter Games.
