About the Item
Beautiful summer fruit print or engraving by Langlois. Featuring ripe purple prunes with bright and dark green foliage.
The inscription reads Prune Royale, P.J. Redoute -114 on the bottom left, and Prunus Domestica, Langlois on the bottom right.
A team of over twenty engravers was involved in the making of this original piece. The color printing was by Langlois, the great French color-printer who supervised much of Redoute's work.
Condition: Unsure if this piece is an engraving or a print. It is affixed to a sturdy cardboard backing and looks to have been framed at one point. Some wear around edges which is consistent with age and wear.
