About the Item
Circa 1970's abstract color etching on paper by Tony Bass ( b.1943) Texas. Signed, titled Apocalypse I (series) I in pencil along lower margin. Abstract surreal horse and figure.
Born in Texas in 1943 Tony Bass received his Bachelor and Master of Fine Arts from the University of Texas. He later became an instructor at the University of North Texas and St. Edward's University After spending a year in Paris, working on a series of etchings for a French publishing company, he returned to Dallas. For the next twelve years he explored new mediums including watercolor, sculpture, and mixed media. Bass has had over 25 one-man shows throughout the last 30 years and is included in numerous corporate and private collections in both the United States and Europe.
