Antique 19th Century Infant Christening Gown Lace Baby Dress Shadowbox

"Early 19th century infant’s white lace trimmed christening gown, frame in a shadowbox with robin’s egg blue background and a small dried nosegay of baby’s breath and blue silk flowers.  Measure: 31". Family history on reverse dates dress to 1819. ""Baby dress of Amelia Blair Dorsey, born in Hamilton Ohio in 1819. Her parents, William Blair and Matilda Dorsey Blair. She was the wife of Benjamin L Dorsey, and the mother of Frances Matilda Dorsey who was the mother of Ethel Edwards Clarkson, who was the mother of Frances Anne and Betty Blair Clarkson. Amelia Clarissa Dorsey (born Blair), 1818 - 1862 Amelia Clarissa Dorsey (born Blair) was born on month day 1818, in birth place, Ohio, to William Blair and Matilda Blair (born Dorsey). William was born on July 23 1789, in York County, PA. Matilda was born circa 1795. Amelia had one sister: Harriet Louisa Dorsey (born Blair). Amelia married Benjamin Lawrence Dorsey on month day 1843, at age 24 in marriage place, Missouri. Benjamin was born on December 14 1822, in Jefferson County, KY. They had 8 children: Frances Matilda Edwards (born Dorsey), Benjamin Lawrence Dorsey and 6 other children. Amelia passed away on month day 1862, at age 43 in death place, Illinois."
