Kashmir Tree of Life Regal Garnet & Saffron Large Cashmere Pashmina or Coverlet
About the Item
Large cashmere pashmina finely woven in the historic region of Kashmir India, high in the Himalayas, where the Pashmina goats range and grow this famously soft and warm wool. This Tree of Life design was created by an artisan weaver using 15th century old hand looms and jacquard weaving techniques that were introduced by the Mughals after travels along the famous silk trade route. This extremely soft and warm in hand, shawl is adorned with a blossoming fruit tree, exotic birds and butterflies in a 6 color jacquard weave featuring warp and weft hand knotted fringe edge with vine and branch boarders. Woven in royal colors in a one of a kind design.
