Rare Regency Period Embroidered and Hand Painted Silk Mourning Pictures, Pair

About the Item

Pair of rare Regency Period embroidered and hand painted silk mourning pictures. Black and gold reverse painted glass. Extremely fine well detailed silks. One embroidery features a woman playing a harp the other a maiden lounging. Good age appropriate wear from age. Some loss to gesso frames along edges. One of the silks has a crease on the arm. Each measures 12.5" by 16", oval sight 12" by 10" wide.
