Brocard took over, in 1880 the embroidery, tapestry, decoration and restoration workshops founded by Picot, embroiderer of the Emperor in 1800, who had successors Delalande (King's embroiderer 1825) in 1830, Lepetit in 1850 and Maincent in 1870.
Robert Brocard and his son Louis worked for the Mobilier national. The company, SARL, currently managed by Madame Brocard keeps a large collection of drawings and models of decoration (costumes, uniforms, flags, furniture, etc ...) Among the main works executed by the House, the large coat of coronation of Napoleon and his embroidered court clothes, the Throne of Louis XVIII, the embroidery of the car of the coronation of Charles X, a reconstruction of the room of the Empress Josephine at Malmaison etc.
