Early 20th Century Italian High-Relief Plaster Wall Plaque

About the Item

This is a large, high-relief wall hanging in early 20th century plaster. It depicts seven of the mortal daughters of Jupiter. They are singing, while two of them play stringed instruments, and they are standing above two young boys who are responding to the music. It is in the style of the relief sculptures on the ancient Ara Pacis Augustae peace altar in Rome, thus the feeling of peace, joy and prosperity in this rendering. At the bottom it says Class 1919 and it does have chips, missing pieces and some cracks but its still very sturdy all repairable, I am selling the plaque as is.
