"Garam" Geometric Abstract Wall Sculpture by Dan Schneiger

About the Item

"Garam" wall sculpture by Miami-based architect and artist Dan Schneiger is a powerful embodiment of geometric and abstract expression. Created in 2013, this mixed media work weaves together wood, foam core, plaster, and resin, all masterfully hand-painted in a deep charcoal finish that accentuates its textural depth. With a commanding presence, this large relief wall sculpture, measuring 49 inches in width, 43 inches in height, and 7.5 inches in depth, is a significant work that can dominate a space with its monolithic appearance. Yet, despite its substantial visual weight, the use of reclaimed materials ensures that the piece maintains a surprising mobility. Dan Schneiger's dual grounding in the worlds of architecture and art is palpably expressed in "Garam". His artistic process, informed by his architectural experience during the digital revolution, celebrates the tactile and the tangible. He juxtaposes the precision of architectural concepts with the fluidity of artistic design, resulting in sculptures that captivate both the eye and the mind. The interplay of shadow and form in "Garam" is reminiscent of the works of Louise Nevelson and Paul Evans, echoing Brutalism's stark aesthetic and Cubism's fascination with abstracted forms. The sculpture’s various geometric shapes are meticulously assembled, suggesting not only strength and permanence but also the inherent beauty of functional design. "Garam" is a testament to Schneiger's commitment to sustainability and innovation. By repurposing construction debris, he not only gives new life to discarded materials but also comments on the cycle of creation and destruction that characterizes both nature and human endeavor. This piece is not only a captivating visual experience but also a profound statement on the potential for art to reinvent and reinterpret the world around us.

  • Modern Geometric Mixed Metal Dimensional Wall Sculptures by C Jere Series of 4
    By C. Jeré Artisan House
    Located in Topeka, KS
Gorgeous modern series of four geometrical dimensional mixed metal wall sculptures by C. Jere, unsigned but easily documented online. Comprised of steel, brass, and copper. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that these are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. There are scratches on all 4 sculptures, a ding on one, and we have replaced 2 triangular bent metal pieces. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, late 20th – early 21st century. Oh yeah… it’s hip to be square!! And in this case, that is definitely true!! This is an awesome series of four-square dimensional mixed metal wall sculptures by C. Jere displaying various unique and abstract geometric designs comprised of steel, brass, and copper arranged in the center of each metal square. C. Jere (a.k.a.) Curtis Jere is not a single artist but is a nom-de-plume for a group of artists working for Artisan House and well known for their phenomenal jewelry, metal sculptures, and collectibles. This series of four is a MUST have for any wall that needs a bold statement piece, touch of Modern style, or simply an intriguing, phenomenal piece of artwork! Position them to your preference and change any wall from being bland, to BOOM! They would be wonderful side by side in a row of four however, I envision them stacked one on top of the other in a large square. Maybe over a fireplace, on a wall in a tall entry way, or on a primary wall in your living room. If you’ve been looking for the right touch of Modern or Industrial edge to welcome into your home… you just found it! Artisan House artists included founders Curtis Freiler and Jerry Fels and Curtis Jere is a combination of their names. Before founding Artisan House these two friends and brothers-in-law had built a costume jewelry business which sold under the names of Renoir and Matisse, two well-known names of mid-20th century costume jewelry. During the mid-20th century, the C. Jere sculptures, and metal work were distributed by Raymor, a well-known name in mid century collectibles, and sold at Gump’s in San Francisco and other upscale retail establishments. Jerry Fels died 11...
