In1949–1950 he was in highschool for arts and crafts in Berlin and then between 1951 and 1958, Haase studied painting at the college of visual arts in Berlin (Hochschule für Bildende Künste Berlin); masterstudent of Prof. Max Kaus; self-educated acquirement of metal sculpture Since then he started as a freelance sculptor in Berlin-West DOW
