Rare Jacob and Josef KOHN German Antique Bentwood Cradle Germany1910 Rare Jacob and Josef KOHN German Antique Bentwood Cradle. This beautifully worked bentwood piece is in the Art Nouveau style and looks like bird feathers gathered in a cradle. The Kohn brothers from Munich, Germany, advanced Thonet's bentwood technique to create more artful and curvaceous designs. A sculptural piece of art. A similar, though simpler version of this cradle can be found in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York City.
