Dellard Cassity was born in Litchfield, Illinois where he spent his entire life making art (primarily paintings, sculptures and prints). He graduated with a B.F.A. from the St. Louis School of Fine Arts at Washington University. Cassity had one significant one-man show in 1975 and pieces from his portfolio were exhibited at the 26th Illinois Invitational Exhibition at the Illinois State museum in 1973. Some of his work resides within the permanent collection of the Illinois State Museum in Springfield.
