A rare Irish mahogany carved rococo mirror, c.1750
About the Item
The inner liner (very rare) is carved over the glass with traces of cobalt blue mirrored borders. The plate is original, Irish, c. 1740, in the manner of John Houghton. See "Irish Furniture" by the knight of Glin & James Peill. pp. 76-77 for related examples.
