- 17th Century German Barock Carved MirrorLocated in Lymington, GBA rare German Baroque (Barock) carved oval mirror. Early-17th century, circa 1620-1630. The frame is superbly carved. The cresting with two cherubs supporting a cartouche, and seated upon displaying eagles. The base centred by a grotesque mask typical of this early period. The oval frame is flanked by boldly-carved Barock scrolls and foliate decoration, the inner frame is well carved with egg and dart. Very minor losses entirely consistent with age. Plate later.
