About the Item
Fulvio Bianconi (1915-1996) was a multitalented artist, working in glass, paint and the graphic arts. At age sixteen he began as an apprentice in Murano. Bianconi's collaborations with Venini began in 1947 and repeated during the 1960s and 1980s. Known for promoting unique examples of glass work, many of which were made by his own hands, Bianconi stated, "...artistic glass has to be unique; if it is repeated, it loses its charm."
