Fine & Rare Art Deco Silver Tea Service
About the Item
by Brüder Frank, Vienna, Austria
Comprised of a hot water pot on stand, a teapot with hinged cover, a coffee pot with hinged cover, a chocolate pot, a cream jug, a sugar bowl and cover, together on its original matching tray.
Each with ivory handles and finial except for sugar bowl and tray
Stamped: “.800” (1872-1922) and “JV” with Brüder Frank mark
According to Annelies Krekel-Aalberse in Art Nouveau, Art Deco silver, Abrams Edition, 1989 “Brüder Frank was the only firm in Vienna to make silver that could rival good French Art Deco silver in both form & quality”
