About the Item
The glass industry in Mexico dates back to the very first viceroy from Spain in the sixteenth century who actually emigrated with a glass blower in tow. The industry in Puebla (the first seat of the Spanish government) was to thrive to such extent that glass became a major export - especially to South America.
Glass blowing centers are still found throughout Mexico today.
