Victorian Half-Pearl Hinged Bangle
About the Item
A Victorian half-pearl hinged bangle, the front set with four rows of half pearls, the two central row of pearls measuring 3mm and the two outer rows of pearls measuring 2mm, the back of yellow gold with matt finish, with integral clasp and safety chain, measuring approximately 1.2cm wide, circumference measuring approximately 19.5cm, gross weight 30.50 grams, in original fitted case, circa 1870.
This bangle is in very good condition. Unmarked, tested as 18ct gold.
An elegant and alluring Victorian bangle. This bangle is set throughout with lustrous half pearls, which are complemented wonderfully by the yellow gold bracelet. The inner layer of pearls are arranged in a lovely pattern, bordered on the top and bottom by further rows of pearls. This bracelet features a simple hinge and a seamless clasp, making it a wearable and comfortable piece. This bracelet comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales.
