Likely a Victorian revival piece from the 1940's, but perhaps dating earlier, this elegant, slinky and supple link bracelet features decorative buckles and the original tassel. I love the wonderful movement of the links; the bracelet looks striking on its own but is a width that also allows it to stack well with other bracelets. Measuring approximately 1/4 of an inch wide for the links, and a little under 1/2 an inch at the buckles, the bracelet accommodates up to an approximately 7.25 inch wrist. (a jeweler could shorten it for you and may be able to enlarge it up to another half inch, or so, by moving the buckle. The gold is testing as 14K to 15K gold with one small spot that has been touched up and tests lower. (it's not easy to see, especially when worn it blends in - but I have shown it in the last photo right beneath the dime, for reference.) The mechanism for opening and latching the bracelet is at the back of the buckle by the tassel. One end pulls out and then clicks back in to keep the bracelet closed. (one photo shows the clasp mechanism partly open for you to see) I've not found a way to manually adjust the size of the bracelet - though the second buckle has the same latching/connecting mechanism, but that end is no longer attached to bracelet links. I wonder if this was originally a set of a necklace and bracelet? I am not sure. Both buckles have pretty decoration, as well as the end holding the foxtail style chain tassels. Each tassel has its original bead end and remains in very good condition, though one tassel at the far end is no longer present. The bracelet remains very lovely, comfortable and wearable, with a nice weight of 14.52 grams on my scale.

Repaired: Presents beautifully. One old repair was done on quite a small area in lower karat gold, which blends in and is not easy to spot. Wear consistent with age and use. One end tassel is missing, the others remain in very good condition.
