Vintage Blue Spinel Walkway Bracelet in 19.2K Rose Gold Portugal 1980s 1990s

About the Item

This exquisite and bold vintage bracelet features synthetic blue spinel gemstones in a striking "walkway" design, set in 19.2kt rose gold. Crafted in Portugal during the 1980s/1990s, this piece is composed of 11 rectangular plaques with irregular contours, alternating between polished and brushed rose gold. Each polished section is further embellished with a baguette-cut synthetic blue spinel set at the center. The bracelet is secured with two bolt rings and chain fittings. Synthetic spinels were widely used in jewelry from the 1980s and 1990s due to their vibrant colors, durability and availability. They were an attractive alternative to natural gemstones, providing the look of their natural counterparts at a very reasonably value.
