About the Item
This is a rare and wonderful Modernist Art Nouveau Bracelet in Sterling Silver with 14 Karat Gold in an exquisite shell or leaf motif design dating to circa 1900-1930 in the Catalan style from Barcelona, Spain. The Spanish modernist designs are of the highest quality. The silver work is heavy and substantial. The Barcelona artisans were known for combining silver with gold in their pieces. This is a wonderful example with dynamic heavy silver links adorned with 14 Karat Yellow Gold.
The bracelet has a wonderful nature inspired motif resembling scalloped shells or leaves. It is one of the finest Modernist bracelets we have seen. When worn it is a statement of superb design, Modernist ideals and the finest craftsmanship.
The bracelet is 7 1/2 inches (19.3cm) long. It is 1 1/2 inches (37mm) wide.
The bracelet has a safety chain.
