Handmade 1905 Victorian Floral Bouquet Natural Coral Brooch. This Antique pin features a 14 Karat and 9 Karat Gold mix characteristic of the time period. The Natural Coral has a high polish. A single coral branch forms the base of this exquisite pin. Approximately 40 hand-carved coral flowers and leaves are individually attached to the base with gold wire. They are attached in a layered arrangement to create a fully dimensional, natural looking bouquet. Each leaf has a natural curve and serrated edge. The bouquet shape is true Victorian as are the flowers which include rose buds and partially open roses. There are two smaller flowers on the left side and one large statement flower on the right. This delicate, large and surprisingly lightweight brooch measures 2.5 inches long x 1.5 inches wide x 1 inch deep. It has a sturdy, secure and easy to open and close pin on the back. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. This piece has minor chips that can be seen with a microscope but are not readily evident to the naked eye. One tiny piece of coral is missing from the back of the arrangement but the wire is hidden from the front.
