About the Item

A stunning antique Art Deco French 5.44 carat diamond and platinum brooch; part of our diverse antique jewelry and estate jewelry collections This stunning, fine and impressive antique diamond brooch has been crafted in platinum. The pierced decorated, geometric Art Deco rectangular frame is ornamented with a central feature bezel set 1.60Ct Old European cut diamond to the center. The feature stone is surrounded with pierced decorated arched designs accented with enveloping bifurcating motifs to either side. The protruding upper and lower portions of the design each incorporate three individual convex collar motifs, each accented with a pavé set diamond. The symmetrical arched motifs and collar designs incorporate a total of twenty-eight pavé set Old European cut diamonds. The rectangular frame is embellished with a further twenty-eight pavé set diamonds, completing the design. The stunning design secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and security catch. The frame is hallmarked to the side of the setting with the French mark for platinum (dog's head). This antique brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading certificate for the feature diamond, in addition to an independent diamond grading report card for the supporting stones.
