A fine and impressive antique 0.30 carat ruby and 0.18 carat diamond, 9 karat yellow gold pin brooch; part of our diverse antique jewelry collection. This impressive ruby pin has been crafted in 9k yellow gold with silver settings. The brooch setting has been modelled in the form of a horseshoe displaying twelve yellow gold channel set square cut rubies, totalling 0.30 carat. The horseshoe setting is further accented by a nine Old European cut diamonds, silver pavé set in three clusters of three in alternation with the rubies, totalling 0.18 carat. A stunning Victorian turquoise and 0.08 carat ruby, 0.06 carat diamond and 18 karat yellow gold, silver set brooch with 15k gold pins; part of our diverse antique jewelry and estate jewelry collections. This stunning, fine and impressive has been crafted in 18k yellow gold with a silver setting, and 15k yellow gold pins. One of the pins is ornamented with a silver setting to the upper border, modelled in the form of a three dimensional falcon. We are delighted to offer this endearing and adorable antique Victorian brooch made c.1890. The brooch is fitted in a period box and we will include this in the price of this listing. This pin brooch is made in 15ct solid gold and features an intricate gem set cockerel head with old rose cut diamonds and a single ruby cabochon as its eye. The head is made and set in solid silver to enhance the diamonds' white shine and lustre. Whilst undeniably sweet and dainty, the craftsmanship is superb and very impressive - due to its small size, it can only be further appreciated upon seeing how detailed each element is with a loupe or magnifying glass. The accuracy and lifelike shape of the head despite its small size is a testament to the silversmithing and the manner in which all the gems have been set as if to replicate feathers is certainly an artistic virtuosity. Furthermore, the wattle of the cockerel features a very small yet accenting orange/red enamel that contrasts and completes the entire look.
