Art Deco Emerald and Diamond Flower Vase Brooch
About the Item
Here we have a very special flower brooch crafted at a time when the Art Deco style was at the height of design. The centre of the piece showcases an old pear cut diamond possessing a high colour and clarity. This focal stone is surrounded by single cut diamonds and a baguette cut diamond acting as the base. Clusters of marquise shaped emeralds and round brilliant cut diamonds atop form the bunched flowers motif. The craftsmanship here is exceptional and although there is no signature, the style feels French. The high quality leans towards the possibility it was created by one of the big jewellery houses of the era.
