About the Item
A very stylish and rare jewel, high Art Deco in style and manufacture.
This is a clip fitting, bold and strong, that would clip onto a clutch bag, a lapel, or on the edging of a low cut dress, front or back. Many possibilities. It is made in silver, full French hallmarks are on the clip, along with the manufacturer/designer, Mecan. And black Galalith, the French equivalent of Bakelite from this period.It is of a very high quality and exudes high French Art Deco glamour , reminiscent of the publicity photos of many cinema idols of this period, amongst them, the self styled Marlene Dietrich.....
