Diamond Pearl and Ruby Oak Leaf and Trefoil Clover Brooch, Art Nouveau, ca 1910s

About the Item

A large diamond, pearl and ruby Art Nouveau brooch in platinum and yellow gold, ca. 1910s. It has a beautiful design and with the depiction of an oak leaf and trefoil clover it carries strong symbolism. The brooch is very finely set with numerous small old cut diamonds in a milgrain setting (the total diamond weight is approximately 10 carats). The design is further accentuated with a natural pearl and ruby set in the centre of the piece. The make, design and craftsmanship of this brooch is very fine and artistic - it feels very naturalistic and romantic. The brooch can also be applied to be worn as a fantastic collier de chien or hair pin.
