About the Item

Brooch in 18 karat rose gold and silver, owl and swan hallmarks. Called shaking brooch, this sublime antique jewel is formed of a pattern in flower of rosehip taken up with step of screw and pivot on a brooch made up of 2 floral patterns dismountable by small screws located at the back. The whole of the pattern is decorated with rose- cut diamonds and antique cushion cut marquise, various shapes and sizes, and of fine pearls pearly white orient. The attachment system is a pin. The whole jewel is removable to separate the 3 parts. Length : 8,3 cm approximately, height : 3 cm approximately, thickness : 21,5 mm approximately. Total weight of the jewel : 25,8 g approximately. Authentic antique jewel - French work from the second half of the XIXth century. Our opinion : this fabulous antique brooch with fine pearls and diamonds was probably part of a transformable antique jewel of a much larger size that has been separated over time.
