French Enamel and Diamond Egyptian Revival Stick Pin

About the Item

A late nineteenth century enamel and diamond egyptianesque stick pin, the Egyptian queen with enamel and rose-cut diamond set headdress, to a shaped yellow gold mount with architectural motifs, French import marks to the pin, circa 1880, the jewelled part measuring approximately 2 x 1.6cm, gross weight 4.6 grams. This stick in is in very good condition. Unmarked, tested as 18ct gold. This charming stick pin comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. This pin was made in the late nineteenth century, when jewellery in the Egyptian revival style was extremely popular. This stick pin features a lovely Egyptian queen with a brightly coloured enamel headdress set with diamonds. The shape of the stick pin mount itself is in the style of Ancient Egyptian architecture, which was being discovered through a series of excavations during the mid to late nineteenth century. This pin would be a lovely addition to a lapel or tie. Should you choose to make this purchase we will delighted to send it to you in a Bentley & Skinner handmade leather case packed in a gift-wrapped Bentley & Skinner black and gold presentation box. Shortly afterwards we will send you on a valuation for insurance purposes for your reference and safekeeping.
