Gold Antique Brooch / Corsage Front with Silver, Diamonds, Fine Pearls and Ename

About the Item

18Kt (750°/°°) Round bodice front gold and silver set with four old mine cut diamonds at the four cardinal points for a total weight of about 2 carats, as well as a central diamond of about 0.8 carat. The brooch is dressed with fine pearls pierced with gold wire, black enamel and small diamonds in a closed setting. A central articulated garland holds a round motif of fine pearls and diamonds. The two lateral garlands present a symmetrical motif in fall. Probably French work of the late nineteenth century. Excellent condition Gross weight : 19.2 grams Dimensions of the brooch : 3,3 x 6 cm approximately. Quality of the stones: the center stone is slightly tinted (KL/VS2). The side stones are lighter in color (H_I) and have purities ranging from VS2 to P1. All are eye clean. The stones were probably cut before the realization of the jewel in a period going from the end of the XVIIIth to the first part of the XIXth century
