Moonstone Turquoise Pin Brooch Original Box, 1890
About the Item
Moonstone Turquoise Pin Brooch in its Original Box. Remarkable antique pin. The circular shaped moonstone is casted inside the gold top and decorated with the small round Turquoise stones. Really lovely shape and such a fine example of the jewelry of its era.
There is a loop (ring) on top of it to hang a charm. The charm is not included in the lot, but you can see on the picture how it goes and I do have fine charms for this pin. Once it was common to communicate a message via pin or brooch. Nowadays this art is lost, but we can surely start a new tradition. Hanging a new charm depending on the occasion.
The box shows some wear and tear which is totally consistent with such an old item.
It is a perfect gift for the one in the know and a fine addition to any jewelry collection.
