About the Item

This brooch is a great example of Ruser's children of the week line. This brooch features a child kneeling on a freshwater pearl next to a pail with a towel in its hands. This is a smaller (1.65" tall) version of the "Saturdays child works hard for his living". The child has blue sapphire eyes. It is stamped on the back with the signature of renowned American pin designer Ruser, and 14k. RUSER was best known for his figural jewelry with freshwater pearls. William Ruser's shop was located on Rodeo Drive. Hollywood starlets loved to wear his pieces on and off screen.
