There are circle brooches and then there are spectacular circle brooches- this one is the latter.
Superb quality, composed of 26 excellent quality Old European cut diamonds for a total of 8.45 carats, F-G color, VVS1-VVS2 clarity, set in a fine platinum setting, please see detail photograph.
High impact piece measuring 1.75 inches in diameter.
Beautiful when worn as a brooch and when clipped to a black silk cord as a pendant necklace.
The classic Art Deco circle motif is well suited for both men and women.

The circle is symbolic of eternity, perfection, inclusion, balance and unity. It is the most ancient and revered symbol in human history- worshipped by the ancient Egyptian, Greek, Roman and Aztec cultures.
The Ancient Greek philosopher and mathemetician Pythagoras considered the circle the most creative form, a single unit without beginning or end, of endless possibilities. Some of the symbols based on the circle form include the Ouroboros, Yin Yang, Mandala, Enso and Caim.
Mathilde Kschessinska, the famous 19th century Russian balerina who was mistress to Nicolas II of Russia before he married Alix of Hesse, had a favovorite diamond necklace composed of linked circles, similar in size to this brooch. She was often photographed wearing this beautiful necklace.
