Victorian Natural Unenhanced Star Sapphire Diamond Sapphire Silver Gold Pin
About the Item
Star sapphire, sapphire and diamond pin. Set with an oval cabochon natural unenhanced star sapphire displaying asterism with an approximate weight of 18.00 carats, to a scalloped collet set with vertical graduated rows of round rose cut diamonds in silver cutdown and grain settings, fifty six in total with an approximate combined weight of 0.80 carats, leading to a row of ten cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced sapphires in cutdown settings with an approximate weight of 0.50 carats, to a curving fluted yellow gold motif, attached to a trumpeted tapered pin with ridge, approximately 3.5" in complete length. Tested yellow gold and silver, circa 1890, accompanied by fitted box.
